TOFU SCRAMBLE

As we all know Tofu is an excellent vegan protein source. This scramble recipe is the best breakfast recipe for you all to enjoy, healthy and tasty. Made with such simple ingredients and can be made in a jiffy. You need to use firm tofu for this recipe. A splash of water does wonders for this recipe, gives it the perfect moisture required. You can play around and add your choice of vegetables too, but i enjoy this basic Tofu Scramble with a buttered toast, roasted tomatoes, on the side of some salad and hashbrowns.
This tofu scramble is super kid-friendly as well. Gives your loved ones that extra kick of protein in their meals and I`m sure they will all love it! Do try it and let us know how you like it.

TOFU SCRAMBLE Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Cups Crumbled firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped green capsicum
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic grated
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

To serve

  • Butter
  • Toast
  • Coleslaw
  • Hash brown

METHOD

  1. In a pan heat oil, sauté garlic and chopped onions.
  2. Add in green capsicum, cook for ½ a minute.
  3. Add in chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Cook for a minute.
  4. Add in the crumbled tofu, water and mix well.
  5. Finish by adding parsley and serve hot with toasts, butter, coleslaw, hash browns.
