
Baked corn sandwich
This is one more recipe from quarantine cooking. Simple to make and delicious to taste.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups white sauce
- 2 slices of bread
- ½ cup milk
For the corn mixture
- 1 cup boiled yellow corn
- 2 tbsp spring onion (white part)
- 3 tbsp white sauce
- ½ tsp oregano
- 2 tbsp spring onion (green part)
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp grated cheese
For baking
- Grated cheese
- Butter for greasing the baked dish
Method
For the corn mixture
- In a non-stick vessel heat the olive oil, add the spring onion (white part), oregano, and saute for 15 seconds.
- Add the corn, grated cheese, spring onion green part, 3 tbsp white sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
How to proceed
- Line a medium sized baked dish with butter.
- Cut the edges of the bread and soak in milk for a few seconds.
- Place some white sauce at the bottom of the baked dish.
- Place one slice of the bread on top.
- Place the corn filling on top.
- Place one slice of the bread on top.
- Place the white sauce on top.
- Cover with the grated cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes till well baked.
- Serve immediately.
