Gujarati methi muthiyas

1 am a methi lover. These are really yum. You can eat by itself or add to your undhiya.

  • Preparation time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking time: 20 minutes
  • Makes: 12 to 14 muthiyas

Ingredients

For the muthiyas

  • 2 cup chopped methi
  • 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  • 1 1/2 cups atta
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Oil for deep frying

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the methi muthiya together.
  2. Make cylindrical muthiya shapes of the mixture.
  3. In a vessel heat oil, deep fry the muthiyas till well done.
  4. Remove on absorbent paper.

 

To serve

  1. Serve hot with chutney or you can eat it just like that.
