HOW TO MELT CHOCOLATE  Recipe|Renu dalal


  • 1 Cup Chopped Dark Chocolate
  • ½ tbsp Butter ( to be used for microwave)
  • Water


Method 1 – Double Boiler

  1. In a pan, boil some water and place a bigger bowl on top of the pan.
  2. Melt 2/3rd of the cooking chocolate in a double boiler.
  3. The chocolate melts with the help of the steam created by boiling the water below.
  4. Once the chocolate is melted, add in the balance 1/3rd chocolate in the mixture and mix well until everything is melted. There should not be any lumps in the mixture.
  5. Keep stirring constantly or else the chocolate sticks to the bowl.
  6. Use the melted chocolate immediately.

Method 2 – Microwave

  1. In a microwave safe bowl take some chopped chocolate and butter.
  2. Heat the chocolate at 30 second intervals.
  3. Constantly stir at the intervals to prevent burning the chocolate.
  4. Use the melted chocolate immediately.
