Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Water to make the dough
For the methi filling
- 2 cups chopped methi leaves
- Salt to taste
- ¼ tsp kasturi methi
- ¼ tsp haldi
- ¼ tsp chopped green chillies
- ½ tsp besan
- ¼ tsp oil
- Salt to taste
Method
- For the methi filling.
- Grind the methi with a mortar and pestle. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well to make a filling.
How to proceed
- Make a dough and mix well all the ingredients. Make 4 round balls of the dough.
- With a help of a little flour roll the dough and make a small circle. Place ¼ of the filling in the centre. Close the sides of the dough and make a round again.
- With a help of a little flour roll out the parathas.
- Put some oil on the tava and cook the parathas on both sides.
To serve
- Serve hot with curds and achaar.
