METHI PARATHA Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

For the dough

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to make the dough

For the methi filling

  • 4 cups chopped methi leaves

  • ½ tsp kasturi methi

  • ½ tsp haldi

  • ½ tsp chopped green chillies

  • 1 tsp besan

  • ½ tsp oil

  • Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. For the methi filling.
  2. Grind the methi with a mortar and pestle. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well to make a filling.

How to proceed

  1. Make a dough and mix well all the ingredients. Make 4 round balls of the dough.
  2. With a help of a little flour roll the dough and make a small circle. Place ¼ of the filling in the centre. Close the sides of the dough and make a round again.
  3. With a help of a little flour roll out the parathas.
  4. Put some oil on the tava and cook the parathas on both sides.

To serve

  1. Serve hot with curds and achaar.
