Pineapple Salsa Recipe by Renu Dalal

Delicious and tasty, makes a fab dip and tastes great with nacho chips. Deep freeze the salsa and use when needed. Serve in a pineapple shell. If you are using tinned pineapple remember not to add sugar.

  • Makes: 1 bowl

Ingredient

  • 1 cup chopped pineapple
  • 2 tbsp chopped green capsicum
  • 2 tbsp chopped red capsicum
  • 1 tbsp chopped spring onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp chopped jalapeno
  • ½ tsp basil leaves

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together
  2. Mash the salsa with a vegetable masher.
  3. Deep freeze the salsa, thaw, and use when needed.
  4. Serve with nacho chips.
