INGREDIENTS

    For the base

    • 3/4 cup rice flour
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 1/2 tsp Oil
    • Salt to taste

    For the Tadka

    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 1/2 tsp jeera
    • Hing
    • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
    • 5-6 curry leaves
    • 1 tbsp podi masala
    • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
    • Salt to taste

METHOD

    For the base

    1. In a hot heat water, add in rice flour, oil and salt to taste.
    2. Mix well to form a dough on low flame.
    3. Switch off the gas, cover with a lid and set aside for 5 minutes.
    4. Once done, transfer to a plate and knead the dough nicely.
    5. Divide into equal portions and make round balls.
    6. Steam these goli idlis for 5-7 minutes or until nicely cooked.

    For the tadka

    1. In a pan heat oil and sauté jeera, mustard seeds, curry leaves, hing.
    2. Add in podi masala, salt to taste and coriander.
    3. Toss in the steamed goli idlis and sauté for a minute.
    4. Serve hot with toothpicks.
