INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 Cup soaked Masoor Dal
- 1/2 tbsp ginger green chilli paste
- Pinch of red chilli powder
- Pinch turmeric
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbsp finely chopped onions
- 1 tbsp finely chopped carrots
- 1 tbsp finely chopped capsicum
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
To add later -
METHOD
- In a blender jar, add in all the ingredients.
- Blend well to make a smooth batter.
- Transfer to a bowl and mix in all the vegetables and coriander.
- Rest the batter for 30 minutes.
- Heat a pan and make round chillas with oil.
- Cook on both the sides and serve hot.
Chef's Note from Renu Dalal:
Allow the batter to rest for 10–15 minutes before cooking to improve texture and help the flavours develop.
