INGREDIENTS

    • 3 cups chopped methi
    • 1/2 cup yellow moong dal (soaked)
    • 1/4 cup chopped tomato
    • 1/4 cup chopped onion
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
    • Pinch of Hing
    • 1 tbsp coriander chopped
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • ½ cup water
    • Salt
    • 1/2 tbsp oil

METHOD

    1. In a pan heat oil and sauté hing, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste.
    2. Add in onion, tomatoes, salt to taste and mix well.
    3. 3) Mix in turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and sauté.
    4. 4) Mix in soaked yellow moong dal and water. Cover and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on a medium flame or until well done.
    5. Top up with chopped methi leaves and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
    6. Serve hot with chappati or rice.
