Raw Mango Tomato Chutney | Kaccha Aam Tamatar Chutney | Tangy Indian Chutney | Homemade Chutney Recipe — recipe by Renu Dalal

INGREDIENTS

    • 3 Tomatoes (Cut in half)
    • ½ Raw mango (cut in half)
    • 4 Garlic Cloves
    • ¼ Cup Chopped Onions
    • ¼ Cup Coriander
    • ½ tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
    • 1 tsp Sugar
    • 1 tbsp Oil
    • Salt to taste

METHOD

    1. In a pan heat oil and add raw mango, tomato (skin side up) and garlic.
    2. Cover with a lid and let it roast on a slow flame.
    3. Once soften, remove the skin of the tomatoes and the raw mangoes.
    4. With a masher mash the mixture well.
    5. Add in onions, sugar, salt and red chilli powder.
    6. Mix well and let it cook for a minute.
    7. Serve as per your convenience.

Chef's Note from Renu Dalal:

Cook the chutney on low flame to help the raw mango soften evenly while preserving its tangy flavour.
