INGREDIENTS
- ¾ cup Sesame seeds
- ½ tablespoon Ghee
- 3 tbsp Jaggery (Gur)
METHOD
- In a pan dry roast Sesame seeds until fragrant
- Once done, remove and let it cool down.
- Blend into a coarse powder and set aside.
- In a different pan melt Ghee and add Jaggery in it.
- Let the Jaggery melt and add in the powdered Sesame seeds.
- Cook for a minute and transfer to a plate to cool down a bit.
- If needed, you can add some water or milk for binding.
- Grease Modak moulds with some Ghee and fill the cavities with the mixture
- Let it set for 5 minutes and then demould the Modaks.
- They are ready to serve, store in an air tight container and enjoy.
