Moringa Dal

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup chopped moringa leaves
- ¼ cup yellow moong dal
- ¼ cup chana dal
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 Cups Water
- ½ tsp oil
- 2 Kashmiri red chillies dried
- ¼ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp Kasturi methi
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- Pinch Hing
- ¼ cup chopped tomatoes
- ¼ cup chopped onions
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 4 cloves garlic grated
- ¼ tsp jeera
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- ¼ tsp ginger green chilly paste
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
For the pressure cooker
Other Ingredients-
METHOD
- Soak the yellow moong dal & toovar dal in water for 30 minutes.
- Add in the pressure cooker along with moringa leaves and 2 cups of water.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- In a pan heat oil, add jeera, hing, curry leaves, garlic, ginger green chilly paste, onions and tomatoes.
- Add in oil, kasturi methi, red chilli powder, mix well and cook for ½ a minute.
- Mix in garam masala and salt. Cook for a minute.
- Add in the boiled dal and moringa.
- Finish by adding coriander and Mix well and serve hot with rice or roti.
