INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups refined flour (maida)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tbso Cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup curd
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vinegar
- ½ cup oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Few drops of Red food Colouring
- Sugar water to moisten the cake
- 1 Cup Vanilla Frosting
- ½ Cup Chopped Strawberries

METHOD
- In a bowl sieve together the flour, salt, Cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and set aside.
- Whisk together the sugar, curd, oil, milk and vinegar in a separate bowl until the sugar dissolves.
- Add in the Red food Colouring as required till you get the desired colour.
- Add the dry ingredients to this mixture and mix well.
- Add the vanilla essence.
- Line a 9 inch loose bottom cake pan with butter and flour.
- Transfer the batter to the cake pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool down the cake and demold it.
- Add sugar water to it to moisten the cake.
- Cut the cake in half and layer one base with vanilla frosting and strawberries.
- Cover with the second half.
- Decorate with vanilla frosting and chopped strawberries .
- Serve cold.
