INGREDIENTS
- 3 – 4 Medium Sized Tomatoes Chopped
- 1 Medium Sized Onion Chopped
- 2 tbsp Soaked Toovar Dal
- ¼ cup Coriander stem chopped
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- Pinch hing
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- ¼ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 dried kashmiri red chilli
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 Cups water
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tbsp ghee
- ¼ tsp jeera
- 1 Bayleaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
- Pinch of sugar

METHOD
- In a pressure cooker heat oil and saute jeera, hing, dried red chilli and garlic.
- Add in onions, tomatoes, soaked toovar dal, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander stems and salt to taste.
- Top up with water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Once done, release the pressure and transfer to a plate to cool it down.
- Once cooled down, blend into a smooth puree and sieve it.
- Heat ghee in a pan and saute jeera, bayleaf and cinnamon stick.
- Add in the blended soup, coriander and sugar.
- Cook for 2 minutes and serve hot.
