SABUDANA KHICHDI Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sago (sabudana)
  • 2 potatoes (boiled, peeled and cubed)
  • ¼ cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 4 kadi pata
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp sugar

METHOD

For the sago

  1. Wash the sago (sabudana). Soak in just enough water for 4 hours.

How to proceed

  1. In a vessel heat the oil, add the cumin seeds, kadi pata, green chillies and saute for ½ minute.
  2. Add the potatoes, peanuts and saute for ½ minute.
  3. Add the sabudana, salt to taste, lemon juice, coriander and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Serve hot
