TRICOLOUR SANDWICHES Recipe|Renu dalal

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Brown Bread Slices

For the carrot filling

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped onions

  • ½ tsp oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ¼ Cup Grated Carrot

  • A pinch of mustard sauce

For the paneer filling

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped onions

  • ½ tsp oregano

  • ¼ Cup Crumpled Paneer

  • ¼ tsp ginger green chilli paste

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the spinach filling

  • ½ Cup Chopped Spinach

  • 1 tbsp chopped onions

  • 1 tsp oil

  • ½ tsp Oregano

  • ¼ tsp Garam masala

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Other ingredients

  • Butter for lining the bread

METHOD

For the Carrot filling

  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute 1 tbsp onions with oregano.
  2. Add in the grated carrots, salt, pepper and mix well until carrot turns soft. Add a pinch of mustard sauce
  3. Let the filling cool down.

For the paneer filling

  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute 1 tbsp onions with oregano and ginger green chilly paste.

  2. Add in the crumbled paneer, salt, pepper and mix well.

  3. Let the filling cool down.

For the spinach filling

  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute 1 tbsp onions with oregano and garam masala.

  2. Add in the chopped spinach, salt and pepper, sauté until spinach cooks well and the water evaporates.

  3. Let the filling cool down.

How to proceed

  1. Spread butter on the bread slices.
  2. Apply the spinach filling first on one slice of bread.
  3. Followed by the paneer filling, and then the carrot filling.
  4. Top it up with a cut slice of bread.
  5. Serve it as it is or you can grill it.
