Waffles the healthy way, easy to make. Can be used for breakfast and a snack also. You can use wheat flour instead of maida.

  • Preparation time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 minutes
  • Makes: 6 to 8 small waffles


For the waffles:

  • 1 cup white flour (maida)
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • A pinch of salt
  • ¼ tsp soda bicarbonate


For lining the waffle iron

  • Butter


For toppings on the waffle

  • Butter, honey, maple syrup, grated cheese


For the waffles

  1. Mix thoroughly all the ingredients for the waffles in a bowl.
  2. Heat the waffle iron till the ready button comes on.
  3. Apply butter with a brush on both sides of the waffle iron.
  4. Pour the waffle mixture into the waffle iron.
  5. Keep the waffle iron on till the waffle is ready.
  6. Remove the waffles from the waffle iron when ready.
  7. Serve immediately.


For serving

  1. Serve the waffles hot and crisp.
  2. Apply on the waffle’s toppings of your choice.
