Here is yet another one of Maharastrian classics. Thalipeeth is a savoury multi-grain flatbread popular in India, particularly in the state of Maharashtra. The dough for thalipeeth is prepared from multi grains and spices. The ingredients include flours such as rice, wheat, bajra, jowar and besan. Thalipeeth is usually served with white butter, thecha or yogurt. This thalipeeth is made of a combination of flours, vegetables and spices which together make it a rich source of protein, iron, fibre and folic acid.
